It was our first long trip after we came to America. We drove
down south of 1600 mile from Albany, in our beat up 85 GrandAM. Its starter gave up on us
in Orlando. We had to drop it in garage and cost over $200. It was a unexpected expense on
our $50/day student budget. Luckily it only cost us half day and we soon were back on our
road again. We drove by historic St. Augustine and saw the Gulf of Mexico in
Tampa.
